Bushnell Ballistics Reviews

Hard to use

jk2125 on

Hard app to use. Might be my phone (12 pro) but the keypad gets stuck open, I can’t change anything about my rifle such as barrel length twist rate etc. wish they didn’t use it as a plug for their range finder

Terrible App

Flowing River on

United States

I wasted a lot of time trying to get this app to work. It is just frustrating as I can only modify basic items. I can not create a profile it just acts like the variable fields are a picture as there are virtually no active fields that I can adjust. I don’t know why this is even in the App Store. If Bushnell products are anything like this app, then stay far far away.

Need more rounds

Kdxhero on

United States

Here in Michigan we mostly use 350 legend and 450 bushmaster rounds. Can you please add those rounds to the Ballistics library? Please and thank you.

Terrible app

This app is close to useless. I have the Nikon app and it’s so easy to use. Bushnell app is horrible. Can’t put in the information needed easily, and constantly asking me to upgrade for a fee!

Scope not suppported

Drop zone 22 on

United States

Recently bought a Bushnell Rimfire 3-9x40mm Dropzone 22 Reticle Second Focal Plane model RR3940BS4 scope. I realize it’s an older scope but it has not been discontinued. I down loaded the app in spite of the 2 star review. I should have paid attention to the reviews. The scope I purchased is not supported.

Useless

MGFD314 on

United States

This app doesn’t even have their rimfire 3-9 40mm. It also has a small library of ammunition.

Horrible

BigCountryBoy17 on

Dont tap on the wrong spot. Your keyboard will pop up and you wont be able to make it go away unless you completely close the app and start all over again. Very frustrating.

Very Disappointed

Atrox88 on

United States

This app is supposed to go with one of their most expensive range finders (1800 Nitro) and is difficult to operate. Inputting bullet information is difficult and the preset ammunition is lacking very common calibers. There is no 300 win Mag, No 7mm Rem Mag, No .270 Winchester and No 6.5 Creedmoor. When you input your ammunition’s information it does not save it all the time and you can’t put in your own bullet drop, from what I can find. You can upgrade the app by paying money but I don’t think it will fix these issues if I do. This could be a much better product if there was a little more effort into making this user friendly.

Might work if you have the right model

Bought scope unaware of the ballistics app. Box insisted that app was the bee’s knees. Installed app. App doesn’t have the scope model that I purchased. Why did Bushnell ask me to install an app that does not apply to my scope? How am I to super sniper squirrels with my.22, at 300 yards, with a twenty mph crosswind without this application? Weak.

Not as great or “free” as Bushnell led us to believe

Mike12RN on

This app would be a great resource if you were able to use it beyond the basics. Instead of paying like 3-10bucks to use this app, in order to utilizing and customize everything, you have to buy their range finders, which is $200-400. It’s all has only the caliber/projectile specs and does not allow you pick the specific cartridge, in which a standard .223 62gr bullet is auto programmed for a 1-12in barrel twist, but I have a 1-8in twist, but you can’t adjust it at all. Also, is wont give you the subtension information on just the reactively for me to do the math on either app or Bushnell website, which is very very stupid….. don’t buy their scopes unless you plan use their range finder and then you actually use the app…. Very disappointing with this company and this app.
