Description
“Dictionaries” is an electronic dictionary viewer app made to allow users to efficiently use various dictionaries. Our popular standalone apps have been integrated into a single app where users can search multiple dictionaries at once.
You can purchase and use a variety of dictionaries, including English, Japanese, French or other language dictionaries, from the “Dictionary Store” which can be accessed from within the app.
Searches
• Batch Search (Consolidated Search) allows users to search multiple dictionaries at once.
• The display order of dictionaries used in the batch search can be customized.
• The keyboard language switches automatically depending on dictionary search groups.
• Handwriting input is possible for Japanese, Old Japanese, Kanji, Chinese, Korean, and Russian dictionaries.
• Using Pattern Search, users can search for words even if a part of the spelling is unknown.
Trace and Jump
• Users can easily jump to not only other words in the same dictionary but other dictionaries as well simply by tracing words in a definition, allowing users to go on a journey of intellectual curiosity through the dictionary as their hearts desire.
Collection
• Purchased dictionaries are shown as icons on the Collection screen.
• By opening a dictionary from the Collection screen, users can also carefully go through a single dictionary. Even in this case, users can use the “Trace and Jump” function to easily jump to another dictionary.
• The display order of dictionary icons on the Collection screen can be changed to the user's preference.
Bookmarks
• Users can bookmark their favorite words. In addition, users can also efficiently categorize these bookmarks using the Bookmark Folder.
• By turning on Quick Bookmark, users can quickly add/remove bookmarks simply by tapping the Bookmark icon.
Search History
• In History, display frequency is automatically recorded so that users can immediately recognize words they search for repeatedly.
iCloud
• Users can synchronize Bookmark and History data among all devices by turning on iCloud.
Multitasking
• Users can display websites, documents, and more alongside their dictionary by using the Multitasking function on the iPad. By turning on Clipboard Search, users simply have to copy the word they wish to look up in order for the app to find that word in multiple dictionaries.
Substantial Lineup
• The Dictionary Store carries a large number of full-scale dictionaries, and we plan to further improve this selection in the future as well.
• The following English dictionaries are available. Check in the Dictionary Store, which can be accessed from within the app, for more information on each of these items.

Trop cher et peu pratique
Les achats intégrés (dictionnaires) sont chers, non compatible partage familial et vous devez tout acheter en double pour avoir la traduction dans les deux sens de lanague. L’interface date vraiment du siècle dernier (certains types de recherches possibles sur tous les sites de référence sont juste impossibles ici). Globalement moins bien que des alternatives moins chères ou gratuites. À éviter.

I changed my iPhone, so I had to download all the different dictionaries I had bought up till now. However I had and still have difficulties downloading them with two of them not wanting to download. I tried buying another dictionary to see if the problem came from me since I live in France but I had no difficulty downloading it so the problem is clearly on your side.
Une stratégie discutable
On sent qu’avec cette appli l’éditeur veut nous faire profiter des mêmes fonctionnalités qu’avec un dictionnaire électronique. Mais l’intérêt et l’ergonomie globale est franchement discutable. Les dicos se retrouvent encapsulés dans une interface globale, qui pour beaucoup d’utilisateurs ne sert à rien. Le prix est prohibitif (un dictionnaire électronique coûte peut-être plus de 2 万 mais il y a du contenu !! Je ne me vois pas payer 54€ pour un simple petit royal... plus 56€ pour le Robert FR-JP...) bref je ne comprends pas la stratégie de l’éditeur. Il pourrait y avoir des packs à prix intéressants. Mais rien... 大辞林 Edition 4 coûte 38€... la 3ème Edition coûtait 23€ ce que je trouvais déjà pas donné pour une app de dico. Aucun prix de mise à jour n’est proposé pour neveux qui ont déjà la version 3... Je passerai mon chemin; il y a mieux ailleurs.
Dictionnaire FR-JP correct mais application vraiment mauvaise
J’ai acheté cette application avec Le Petit Royal pour avoir un dictionnaire FR-JP de bonne qualité. Je suis au final très déçu. Le dictionnaire en lui même n’est pas si mal mais l’application et l’utilisation sont vraiment mauvais. Aucune recherche de verbe conjugué alors que des applications comme Midori le font sans problème. Une fois sur deux, les mots recherchés ne sont pas trouvés et l’application ne propose pas de mots approchants. La navigation d’un mot à l’autre est mauvaise : Pas de lien dynamique direct. Il faut sélectionner le mot très précisément pour le rechercher. Pas de Furigana sur les kanjis. Bref, je suis excessivement déçu car elle ne mérite pas son prix. D’autres applications moins chères font beaucoup mieux. Donc à éviter.

それぞれの辞書をダイレクトに立ち上げられず、イライラする。 それぞれの辞書をドックに入れて利用しているぐらいだったのでものすごく改悪に感じる。 単体でのアップデートをしてほしい。もしくは各辞書が一発起動できるボタンがドックにおけるとか。お気に入りページのブックマークのように。
使いにくいです
今まで物書堂が出している単体の辞書アプリを複数使っていましたが、この辞書アプリに統合するように勧められて、統合しました。このアプリを使ってまだ二日目ですが、今まではダイレクトに単体辞書にアクセスできていたことを、このアプリではいちいち辞書の種類を切り替えなければならないので不便です。そもそも統合するメリットもわかりません。前の方が良かったです。
