I just realized you are going to start charging me to use your new Calendar app. I have had Calendar 5 for a few years and gotten along okay with it. Now you want to make me pay a monthly or annual fee so I can change background colors and have dark mode?! Woopie! What a wonderful deal for some multi-millionaire CEO! When I have to pay annual fees to use software I have already paid for is the day Readdle get deleted from my devices. Good luck on your new money making venture. I’m not helping you with that. :(

There's absolutely zero guarantee they won't do the exact same thing with yet another price increase. Calendars 5 was also sold with a "lifetime" purchase. Why would I ever give you money for a "lifetime" purchase again? Nothing is stopping you from just screwing over people again a few more years down the road.

I find this app backward to use

I’m not very happy right now! I upgraded to the new version, no problem! NOW there is a problem! All of my entries have disappeared! The only ones left are Birthdays! Is there a recovery technique in this new version???

I really wish this app would allow you to delete ancillary holiday markers like Columbus Day. It really clutters up the schedule especially, for some reason, when it gives you 5 different notifications for the same exact holiday. I can’t seem to understand how the premium subscription offers any bonuses apart from the standard one. What am I paying for exactly? More color variations? The app isn’t bad but it’s just annoying that we have to be nickle and dimed every which way

They are making people pay for features they already paid for with the now discontinued version.

I absolutely love this app!! So far my only complaint is that you can’t delete old locations that you added when adding something to the calendar.. I do a lot of dog sitting and I have to add addresses in the location part as it’s easy to just add the address that way, but there are some address locations that I dont need anymore and I can’t delete them or get rid of them.. and it’s annoying having to scroll thru so many to find the right one.. Besides that I LOVE this app!!

I'm quite disappointed to learn my Calendars 5 Lifetime purchase will soon be rendered obsolete as the formerly trustworthy Readdle has manufactured a classic "bait and switch" by not supporting it any longer. Their focus will now be on a product that is virtually the same but the name is slightly changed so they can charge customers either a subscription or attempt to again extract money for an alleged lifetime purchase. I won't be fooled twice.

There's a serious glitch with the hovering cursor in the latest update. The cursor arrow flies all over the place when hovering over any events in the calendar. It makes the app unusable on my iPad Pro 2024 with Magic Keyboard. It just started happening a couple days ago. Please fix this ASAP and I will change the rating.
