Watch out when cancelling
App works fine, but watch out when cancelling. Very complex, you think you’ve done it, then get billed again! I’ve used app several times but will be deleting this time out of principle

I use this app to track my calories because of its big UK product database but it is frustrating that i have to provide information on my weight goals to use it. First of all, the calories you need to achieve your goal in this app are random. You can’t guarantee the speed of weight loss/gain because it is very individual. Required calorie intake is also very individual. If I were to eat on the recommended amount of calories, I would not be able to walk through the door soon. Second, BMI is not reliable source to estimate whether someone’s weight is healthy or not. Yet you ENFORCE settings based on BMI (adapting recommended calorie intake to gain weight). Spoiler alert: If a person wants to continue losing weight beyond what you consider healthy, there is literally nothing you can do about it. You may write that they need to eat 2000 cal a day but what they will actually eat is beyond your control. So changing the settings is just pointless, it’s not protecting anyone. Also again, BMI is not a reliable indicator. So just stop doing it or give people an option not to have any recommendations on calories, just let them track their calories! And customer support is terrible saying that if you don’t agree with our goal setting JUST STOP USING THE APP!!! Well I want to use the app cos of its database and nice interface (which is why it got 2* and not 1) not because of its random recommendations on calorie intake!
This knows most UK barcodes, so you can quickly scan stuff, or search by name. You can choose which nutrients (eg protein, salt, fat, whatever) you want a running total on, and set your own targets. Overall, this is the one app I’ve found that makes it practical to track nutrition consistently. Well worth the subscription.
I never ever fully purchase an app after a trial but this is definitely the exception to the rule! Works perfect alongside slimming world in fact I prefer this as I can control what I eat better …. It’s ok having “free” food but when the moderation goes out the window that’s when the weight loss can stop. Will definitely recommend this to friends
This is the easiest calorie counting app I’ve ever used absolutely love it.
Love this app very good with calorie counting Easier than all of the other apps
Been using this app for 2 years and I’m at the point I’m now looking for a new app to use. There’s some really basic features missing which other apps have. For instance, foods you normally pair together suggestions to speed up tracking. Other simple stuff like a timer for fasting has never been added (recommended in app ages ago). It’s quite frustrating to add and search for every item, rather than just predicting what you usually have. I know you can make meals but you don’t always use the exact same ingredients. Edit in response to app developers: recently eaten and normally paired together aren’t the same thing. On all other calorie apps it remembers what you pair, ie you select bread and it would suggest that you normally have 20g of peanut butter and 10g of butter, on nutracheck you have to search for every item each time! The recently eaten list is gone within a few days as it updates.
This app is excellent I have been using MyFitnessPal for years but they just haven’t changed it for years. Just when I think I’ve seen all the good things I. This app another one pops up. I have been doing it a little over a week and lost 4lb so far. The watch app is great too I can add most things on the fly via the watch (only things you’ve added before) I think the price is really good too did a weeks trial then immediately signed up for the year
It helps!
Good app that has a good option to add calories on brands bought in most major supermarkets. To improve I believe it would be beneficial to state how many ml a glass is and also add calories burned information to strength exercises like weight lifting as well as other exercise such as sit ups / press ups etc.
