Great free app to record foods. Really like using it.
I have been in the weight loss/gain lifestyle over 40 years based on the particular sport I participated in. In that time I was considered a bit of a nutrition expert, with several credits to my name. Now that I’m retired and still wanting to stay in shape plus the worlds endless obsession to exist off the end of a mobile phone, I found the FatSecret app to be superior in many ways to my own memory, recording data, having a virtually complete set of nutritional facts on just about every food substance know to mankind. There is no doubt that this app is brilliant, it delivers exactly what’s on the label on the box. It doesn’t pretend to be anything else, that’s refreshing. I throughly recommend the app, more importantly I use it for accountability and to keep on the straight and narrow. It’s a wonderful app and I believe professionals in clinics and hospitals should adopt it as their goto app, as well.
It is really good but some of the foods it’s so hard to find the correct one and doesn’t have all the options but overall pretty good and helpful.
Got the app few years ago- tried so many others and this is the most professional and accurate for your own records during weight loss- love it.
It is not about counting calories but help you to understand the macros and the quality and quantity of meals and portions.
It would be great if the nutrition information is updated and have more food. It would be good if there is a way to make substitutions for foods like GYG eg. burrito bowl without cheese. Other than that it’s good. It’s a bit glitchy at times
Been using the free version for about 2 years. Very easy to use, lots of options, you can customise almost everything including adding in your own foods if they’re not in the list. Really good value from the free version, so much so that I haven’t needed to pay for the premium options. If I kick my fitness up another level then I would happily pay to be able to log water intake etc. Highly recommend
I have found logging in my calories each day has been very helpful in gauging what I’m eating. The App has been pretty easy to use
If you want to lose weight. Eat better. It’s the most important thing to do and the free version of this app does an incredible job of helping. I lost 10 kgs with it in three weeks.
Very convenient, flexible, and everything you need to track your calories daily.
