I’ve been used many of recording food apps, this one could be the best one for me to record and calculate daily food data and I will use it for a long time.
What's the difference between these two versions? How much is the permanent version?
I tried so many apps.l - paid and free. I love: the fast barcode scanner, the fantastic database, the tools you built in (copying days, making custom recipes, etc) are equally fantastic feature. I have health issues and I’m trying to convey to my doctor granular details about diet and this one it is the best!!! Thank you for making this app.… just awesome.
This pairs with my garmin and is way more user friendly than my fitness pal. Highly recommend.
Banner ads? No problem, get your bag team. But you added VIDEOS? Make me wait 80 seconds?? Kill me. Ruined it for me. Take em off.
This app does not sync your exercise with your iWatch or your iPhone health app. This is nothing more than a journal for the food you eat. You can do that with a piece of paper and a pen.
Cronometer is a data-lover’s dream, offering meticulous calorie and nutrient tracking powered by one of the most accurate food databases available. Its standout feature is granular micronutrient breakdowns (vitamins, minerals, amino acids), making it ideal for keto, vegan, or medically restricted diets. The barcode scanner, custom recipe builder, and integration with fitness trackers add versatility, while the free version is impressively robust. However, the app’s clinical interface and sheer depth of data can overwhelm casual users—expect a steep learning curve to navigate its charts and settings. Premium features like advanced reports and ad-free use are pricey, and manual entry for obscure foods remains tedious. While less flashy than MyFitnessPal, Cronometer is **the gold standard for detail-oriented trackers**, best suited for nutrition nerds or health pros who crave precision over simplicity.
Very easy to run everything. Most of the thing your mainly need to count is there without to premium.
