Camera Connect & Control Reviews

Best Canon camera remote controller

InvisibleB5 on

Australia

This is without a doubt the best Canon camera remote controller. It works beautifully with USB-C - so there is no lag and even has a beautiful manual focus mode. Lots of tools for the viewfinder and also works in Video mode. This is the app Canon should’ve developed. John M

Great EVF app Nikon Z7 & Z6II

JohnAus1964 on

Have been looking everywhere for an (Electronic View Finder) EVF app for iPhone and iPad for Nikon DSLRs - Nikon Z7 & Z6ii. Works with iPhone 15 Pro Max over USB! This app is the goods. Perfect & what I was looking for. Can control everything I need remotely from my iPhone and iPad and I don't need an expensive remote display. USB connection works really well. Will be invaluable for night landscape and astronomy photography. Does intervals too. Developer is actively advancing this app, great to see. Impressive!

Waste of time

And hour of my life I will never get back! Connected to Canon6D, and tried to start my free 3 day trial. Then absolutely nothing! A menu bar on the front page but no camera controls, and having to continually swap between camera wifi and home network, it just became an exercise in exasperation! Go watch grass grow instead!

Great little gem

Using with a Canon EOS M50 Mark ii. Works great as a monitor for photos coming through on the iPad, much better than the vendor app!

Fabulous app

JamesTrev on

I photograph wild flowers with a Canon EOS80D, and recently started focus stacking to be able to show off the flowers in all their glorious detail. This app makes focus stacking so easy, controlling accurate focus increments on most of my lenses. Or any other kind of remote camera control. Make sure you use it far away from normal WiFi networks, then it works really well. Being able to see what the camera sees without accessing the viewfinder is magic. The controls work well too. Thank you! Just a couple of improvements might help. Being able to adjust the focus increment would be handy. Another would be to queue camera requests: if the camera is busy saving a RAW image to a slow SD card, it can be hard to be sure you have changed the focus before the next shot. Audio feedback after initiating a focus increment might be helpful too.

Good but one thing

It’s very tedious to go through each and every individual image to save, maybe add a select feature so users can save in bulk, rather than going through them individually.

Download location not working

GiveItATru on

Download the app and try to take photo by Nikon z7 and save to network location at iPhone or iPad but it only saved to on my iPhone or on my iPad. Then delete the app

Not connecting

EYEVÍ FASHION BOUTIQUE on

United States

I purchased the pro version to connect with my Nikon Z30 to my iPad based upon a YouTube video stating that this was the best app to connect the two. I don’t see the menu for live view and my camera is not connecting with the app at all. I don’t know exactly what the problem is as I have read multiple reviews that this is the best app out there for what I’m trying to do.
