Brilliant ! With slight annoyances. MAJOR ISSUE
UPDATE 28/2/24: Well I’ve just found out that the saved presets don’t stay in the order I’ve put them in. This is REALLY ANNOYING and I’ve dropped this app one star. I make my preference and then save it and then I slide it into the position I wanted to be, but when I come back to the app it’s moved right to the bottom again.
This app is so good I’ve replaced the iOS camera app for this one. The only thing I will say is where is the 2x telephoto lens ? My camera has 0.5x 1x 2x and 3x, but your app only shows the 0.5x 1x and 3x. No 2x. Such a shame. Worth 5 stars once I can find the 2x telephoto camera in the app. Also, the user defined presets should be separated into what mode you’re in and not all clumped together. For example, when I’m in video mode I can still see the presets I made for still photo mode and vice versa. Not a big problem, but it would be nice to have them separated.
This is a superb piece of software but…..
This is in my opinion, the best Camera app for the iPhone but does have one problem. You can’t use either the Volume buttons or a Bluetooth Remote with it. If you try to, it will just show that it’s increasing the Ringer volume. I use a Kiwi Wireless Phone Grip with my iPhone when doing a lot of photography and use the Bluetooth Remote to take the photo. This works with every other photo app I have and have got used to using it.
Other than this problem, this app does everything and more and gets the best out of the camera.
Can this problem be fixed - Please. I’m having to use other apps when using my KiWi grip which is a real pity. Bill
Best set of features
I have tried all of the well-known camera apps. On an iPhone 14 Pro using ProRaw, CameraPixels is the one that adds the most features that the Apple camera app lacks. I use focus bracketing, slow shutter, the level indicator and the 48 Mpix setting.

I have tried a lot of the so called top camera apps and this one beats them all for simplicity and still having all the features. The app interface is the best not cluttered with buttons dials etc. Try this camera app and you will never use any other again.
Working for iPhone 14 now
Although a few weird bugs. Am talking to support to squash them and hopefully get this great app that is still the best camera app for iPhone in my opinion back to 5 star.
Not for the iPhone 14 Pro Max
When selecting the main camera the app takes 12mp size (pixels) thus not taking advantage of the 48mp camera!
Camera app good video app trash
Camera app works fine, but the video app, oh my. Even when I set it to max fps it’s clearly not using the camera full capability (iPhone 13pro). I compared the same setting video from this app to premier rush, and it’s night and day.
Optimise your app please
Great for Focus Stacking
Only found this app by chance after being so disappointed with the so called market leaders. I’ve being using Camera Pixels for over a year now on my IPhone 12 Pro Max and think it’s brilliant. Paired with a Loupe System 6 x loupe and Helicon Focus stacking software I get much better results than I ever did with my Canon 5D Mk3D and macro setup. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
Great support
John at CameraPixels was back in an hour with a solution when I emailed them ‘cos I couldn’t get volume up button to trigger the shutter release.
All set now, I bought mainly for the focus bracketing feature which works well. Still on Learning curve with using manual mode.
