Doesn’t connect to Bluetooth

Doesn’t connect to Bluetooth, doesn’t show feed mode, horrible experience

Useless

db_orange on

Wifi won’t connect to three different routers using 2.4ghz. Type password incorrect and it tells me the password is wrong so it is communicating with the router but when the password is correct it spins for awhile and times out. Garbage and it is too bad because the rest of the woodwind pro is very solid and I love the product. Put a firmware upgrade out that fixes this please. I can connect to my phone hotspot long enough to get firmware updates. Too much money for a pellet grill if a standard feature in 2024 will not work.

Connecting to grill is near impossible

I try to talk up this grill and Camp Chef but it’s getting more difficult to do every time I use it. When I bought it several years ago it showed up with 3 dents, tweaked frame, and bent shelf. I did get a new shelf but the rest I worked out myself. Now for the past couple years I have not been able to connect to my phone. It will recognize the grill but will not allow me to control the grill. Starting to think about other brands.

Worst App / WiFi Controller Ever

GoBears8554 on

United States

I’ve given this app several chances. I’ve followed all of the FAQ suggestions. I’ve dealt with tech support. You’ll get it connected eventually, but it’s going to drop connection on 9/10 cooks. There is nothing worse than waking up in the morning to a pellet grill that flamed out on an overnight cook when the app is supposed to alert you when it happens. Get a Traeger instead. Or save your money and get a camp chef without the useless WiFi connectivity and buy a Meater thermometer. Huge waste of money to buy anything app or WiFi related by camp chef. I wish I could give this zero stars.

Grill is Great App not so much

Camp chef should invest in fixing the app. Configuring probes no longer woks, it can not set the name or target temp. Also it stopped recoding my cook history. The app has been flaky since day one, but now some features just don't work at all. It still lets me set the cook temp, smoke level, and see the probe temps.

It works again

You have to delete the app and re download; but it seems to be working again

Unable to Set Probe Target Temp

Woodwind Pro User on

United States

Unable to set probe target temp . . . user defined or “default settings” (e.g. “Steak/Rare 125”). Settings are selectable, but are not “saved”/executed by app for notification. Have iPhone 15 with iOS 17.4.1.

I am sure it could be a great app

dlh6296 on

I am sure it could be a great app, only problem is I can never get it to connect to my grill.

Temp Probe settings

Lawdog62 on

United States

The temperature probe setting in app have stopped saving. When you select the desired temperature to be notified and click “confirm” it returns to the main display but not showing the changes you made. Please patch

I’m done

Pgardner12 on

The app is fundamentally broken. I have had this grill for years and the app actually gets worse with every update. Time for a new grill and not looking like it will be a Camp Chef.
