While not entirely necessary, since the NCC publishes this info, I actually find myself checking it far more often than the NCC because it is convenient, accurate, has a great user interface, and adds excitement to skating on the canal. I highly recommend, especially if it helps get people out and skating!

Love having this as a widget to easily check ice conditions. Updates as soon as NCC website does.

Wonderful app, much appreciated! Could use an indication of when the conditions were assessed/reported, as they are not real time. Early in the day, “swept this morning” likely means yesterday morning. I know the NCC only updates twice a day, which is a peeve: ice changes fast!
