How is this different from the other photo apps?
In a lot of ways, but here are a few reasons why Canvsly is different:
- This app has been built with your child and their artwork in mind
- Canvsly is private by default. You control the audience to share the artwork with.
- Every child has his/her own space/albums/artworks
- Organize the artwork across your children’s timelines so they can look back and enjoy it as they grow
- You can seamlessly convert your kids artworks into beautiful gifts via our integrated print services
- You can instantly share the artwork with your loved ones by inviting them to your private circles or even to the greater audience via Facebook and Twitter
- You can instantly convert their precious artwork into keepsakes and gifts via Shop

Multiple attempts to contact support over months and rude or no response
I’ve been trying to identify where the pictures I’ve spent hours uploading (hours, truly, because the app functions very slowly) and can’t find a way to access them except via their app — I can’t find a way to export my own images for safekeeping. I’ve emailed support probably 5+ times over months asking for instructions and at first got a response telling me they were too busy to help me, and then no response at all to additional follow ups. I feel like my images are being held hostage and I’ve wasted hours of my life taking them. In addition adding insult to injury I’ve now started being charged a monthly fee for the app. Sadly I assume my 100s of pictures are lost and will only be taking additional pictures of artwork saved to an album on my phone. Please beware this app and definitely stay away.
Highly deceptive
I downloaded the app linking it to my Apple ID. It says In-app purchases in the App Store but you literally have to pay for a $2.99 subscription and I am sure they are already taking my money without asking if I wanted a free trial period. I just wanted to try it to see whether it will serve my purposes. It should say that up front. The app looks pretty good but I hate feeling tricked.
Where are pics stored
I love the layout of the app but will not be using because my pics are stored in some unknown location. I can't trust that I'll be able to access in 10 years. If it had a store to my camera roll or even store to my own iCloud account I'd be all over it! I like that you can buy merchandise through the app with the kids artwork on it.
Great App!!!
Love this app!! I don't feel so bad thinning out my son's art work because I have a digital copy!!It's awesome!!
Cool idea but not adapted to canadian
Great idea but if you are in Canada you can't buy anything yet. It's all American sites.
Subscription model with no warning
I paid for and downloaded this app years ago to preserve my kids’ artwork in a dedicated space. I opened it up to add some new artwork and see that it has been changed to a monthly subscription model. No thank you. There was no email or notice to notify of this change. Now I’m stuck trying to figure out how to download all the artwork I’ve saved here so I can save it somewhere else. Some advance warning and a chance to move content would have been nice.
Monthly fees?
I am disappointed at the new monthly fees for the app. It was something I was not expecting at all. Thats too bad.
Better off taking photo outside of app
Taking the pictures inside the app is frustrating- the editing options are terrible. Better off taking the photos with the regular phone camera and using the iPhone editing tools. Upload to app for organization but I have yet to see the advantage of organizing within this app instead of just making albums on your phone. I haven’t tried making any prints or books yet through the app so can’t comment on that yet. I like the idea of this app, but the editing tools seem oddly subpar considering they could leverage the existing photo editing. For example- you can’t rotate the orientation of a photo without cropping it. Maybe I’m missing something?
Won’t open
I paid for and downloaded this app, but it won’t open. I have deleted and reloaded, but it still won’t open properly.
Tiny files, frustrating quality
After taking a picture of your child’s artwork, the image size is extremely low! When you go back to view it, you can’t zoom in because you’re looking at the full size there on your phone. When you share the image with someone, the file is laughably small—a fraction of the size of the artwork, measuring only a few inches tall on the computer screen. I’m not sure how you’re ever going to get a decent quality print of anything through Walgreens with this super small format, but I already regret losing my $2.99 buying this app.
