i love this app so much, i use it religiously everyday, but a few days ago it totally stopped working :( it won’t let me add any form of ebook or article. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling, getting a new account, etc, but nothing’s working. i hope it’s just a problem on my end i can resolve, but it’s really bringing me down.
also, whenever i tried to purchase the premium plan, it wouldn’t load fully. i’m not sure how to fix that either. a few times i’ve added too many ebooks and it starts to stop working as well. that’s why i’m giving 4* instead of 5*.
love this app! i wish i could support the amazing developers through the monthly subscription, but i might need to start using another app if this doesn’t resolve itself.
Buggy
The UI has gotten better but it’s still buggy. The TTS would randomly stop sometimes and I might even have to reboot my phone to fix it.
It just works!
I’ve had a lot of bad experiences with buggy text readers, but Capti just works and works well. I don’t use a lot of the fancy features of it, mostly just copy and paste to create something to read, but I like the built-in voice options. No need for high priced “celebrity” voices!
Paid for premium
I needed premium service so I could import .pdf’s from one drive for listening while driving. My paid subscription went through and I’m able to see confirmation in my Apple ID Subscriptions. Yet every time I try to import I get a message that in need Premium service, even though, I already paid for and subscribed to the service. I sent an email to the company with the picture of then message along with confirmation of my Apple ID subscription receipt. It was a while before I received a response. When I did I was told that they only have one tech support person who isn’t available. I asked when they would be available so I could get this resolved. They said in about a week. When I followed up they told me my info was submitted. I asked what the resolution is and they told me they don’t know and I could request a refund through Apple if necessary. I told them I would rather get the issue resolved. That was a month ago and now they just ignore me. What an absolute garbage app and garbage support.
UX problems
Have capti on iPod touch for my son. Can’t connect to bookshare because keyboard covers the login/submit button, and can’t hide keyboard. Works fine on larger screens. It’s the little things.
Glitches and repeats
It continues to glitch and repeat the same lines frequently now

Best Voices and Decently Priced
I am avid user of text to speech apps. After using many, this one has the best voices at the most decent price. Other apps with the same voices are so expensive! It let’s me organize everything the way I want. I like it very much.
No muss no fuss!
Does what it’s supposed to do and does it well. No frills but they aren’t needed. Maybe better naming of imported items but it’s NBD.
Great app, recently updated.
The Capti team was quickly responsive and kind when I expressed my consternation (where did all those menu items go?) With some help, therefore, I found the new location of the revised menu sidebar (hint: it's inside the playlist). I still love this app.
PS. Sometimes my purchased voice/s disappear but usually come back after a reboot. iOs 🤷♀️ the ever changing ui.
