Carbonite Mobile

This app sits on your computer backing up docs and therefore slowing it down all day. You put up with that knowing your data is safe. But when it comes to trying to access something it is almost, literally, impossible. I try only to attempt it when absolutely necessary but have failed every time I’ve tried in two years. There is no response of any sort from customer service. Completely and utterly frustrating product.

Keeps crashing while I browse my files

The old app worked, I used it a lot, it was removed without notice. I almost cancelled my subscription right there. The web version had the speed of a parrot in a python sketch…… ie. Deceased. I just downloaded the new app and whilst the stupidly long wait in the wilderness with no viable remote access to my files was a massive pain in the a** this new App does appear to work and work relatively well. Layout’s simple. I like it.

It used to work well, but now it is impossible to log in. Just met with a Server Error. It’s been like this for weeks if n to months! What is going on?

I’ve only just notice but the app no longer displays any data for my backed up computers. If I refresh it it just times out

I agree with khal123 above re the 2 factor authentication. Also, while it does what it says in the tin, which is handy, why not increase functionality to include backups FROM the iPhone.

It's a shame that Carbonite STILL doesn't take two factor authentication seriously. Even on accounts where it is enabled, the app doesn't ask for it!

I backup my Central PC with Carbonite and therefore know that if I want to access any document, video, photo or music I can pull it down from the Carbonite servers via this app and download it. Seems to work just fine at the moment. The app could do with a an overhaul of the interface soon, as it looks very dated and clunky. But it works.

What are you playing at carbonite? Why have you removed ios backup support? And with no warning whatsoever! This is a deal breaker for me. I'll be cancelling my subscription and taking my backup business elsewhere. How can you justify this decision? Is iOS dying out !?! Please let your loyal customers know why you've done this...
