Card Quest FAQ
Is Card Quest free?
Card Quest is not free (it costs 19.90), however it doesn't contain in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Card Quest legit?
Not enough reviews to make a reliable assessment. The app needs more user feedback.
Maybe this game would work better on an iPad, but on a phone it’s painful to look at. I play a lot of similar games on my phone (Krumit’s Tale, Slay the Spire, Dawncaster), but this one legit made my eyes hurt trying to read the cards. I looked in the settings menu, but there were no options to modify the text size or resolution. I’m disappointed because otherwise I think I would have enjoyed this game :(
Great game, But hard to see on iphone
Great game, buy it on steam. I was excited to see this on iphone and got it right away. Unfortunately its very hard to see the writing on the cards even on a iphone pro max. Most all the words are very hard to see. You would be better off playing it on ipad with a bigger screen. Other than that I am happy to support the developers on a great game. Check out there other game Card Survival its amazing and works well on iphone. Just wish that one dident kill the iPhone battery.
Double dip
Great game! I was a little bummed to discover I’d bought it previously, though, for a fraction of this price and then it was yanked from my library.
I get technically why that happens when games change publishers and need a new signing key but it’s still a bad customer experience. Apple won’t change it until devs complain sufficiently about having to screw over their customers by proxy, so I’ll do my part by highlighting it here.
Amazing game
HOWEVER, I am so sick of squinting to see anything. I have nevee played a card game in which I ahd to squint or there wasn’t at least an option. 1/5 simply because I cannot enjoy it.
How Is This Not More Well-known!?
A fantastic port of a desktop classic. Buy it or admit that you’re part of the freemium problem on mobile.
Fun to be had, but too expensive
Fun rogue-like if you’re into slay the spire and others with similar gameplay. Bunch of equipment and progression for each class which keeps the game interesting. BUT, with all that being said, man this is not an attractive game. I’m not sure why every single level is BLACK. This is so lazy and uninspired to not add any backgrounds behind enemies. It’s only good when you’re playing in bed because it doesn’t hurt your eyes I guess, but cmon devs, implement some simple scenery. The artwork just feels poorly executed because of it.
The Definition of a Hidden Gem
If you love strategy games, adventure games, or just GAMES, do yourself a favor and play this remarkable hidden gem.
I believe Card Quest pre-dates Slay the Spire, which would make sense since so many rock solid game mechanics are at play here. You will easily sink 50+ hours into this one (I personally have sunk over 100). With 3 expansive worlds to explore, 4 heros to master, multiple branching paths and dozens upon dozens of unique items, weapons and skill sets to acquire, you’ll mix and match them to try and conquer each gauntlet of unique enemies and bosses.
Cannot recommend this game enough - I’ve already purchased it 3 times (Steam, iOS, and gifted to a friend). PLAY IT NOW.
