Card.io Reviews

Terrible app

mdhutxh on

United States

This app crashes constantly in the middle of a run and nothing is recorded. Horrible user experience. Asked for my money back and CRICKETS. NO response. .

New Popover ads are atrocious

"Pay to remove ads" it says, but that popover is the worst ad of all.

App keeps crashing after 12/3/24 update

I wanted to start by saying I have really enjoyed this app. I’ve been using it for about 3 days and it is extremely encouraging and motivating to capture blocks from other people and to claim your territory. Up until today, I would have rated it 5 stars despite the bugs people keep mentioning. I noticed after the update on 12/3/24, the app keeps crashing. When trying to log a walk, it asks me to update my profile which I have done already when first installing the app. Once I enter in the appropriate responses and click “save”, the app completely crashes. I’ve tried closing the app and restarting and it does the same thing. I have also tried entering in the profile information from the settings but once I tap “save”, it reverts the information as if I have not entered anything. The makes the app not usable at all, as I can’t log walks until my profile is updated and the app is not letting me save the information I put in my profile. I’ve also lost all my coins since the update, so I would advise people against buying coins until this bug fix is solved. I want to keep enjoying the app and I LOVE the concept, however there is not much software development and needs a bunch of fixes before it is functional. There is also no way to submit bug fixes easily so it is hard to find out how to contact a support team. Otherwise, I hope to see it fixed soon so I can continue using the app. Edit 12/4/24: the bug that seems to take away my coins and not let me update my profile seems to be MOSTLY gone. I have my coins back, but because I wasn’t able to log my run it says I skipped a day, even when I had my Strava connected. I had to use a freeze to keep the streak even though I ran. I also found that for the most part, I’m able to update my profile, except for my gender. It keeps defaulting to male no matter which selection I choose. I raised it from 1/5 stars to 3/5 stars only because the bugs are still annoying to work around. I find that just connecting my Strava account does better than relying on hoping the tracker works on Card.io For the most part, I still am enjoying the app, I just have to use Strava to have a reliable tracking record. I hope to subscribe to Card.io once it’s more developed and reliable.

Too many bugs

I want to love this app, I really do. I love the idea of a turf war throughout my city. It makes me want to explore more. I thought maybe since they got a deal on Shark Tank that the bugs would be worked out. Not only are the bugs not worked out (app will not pull from my Garmin as advertised), now they want me to pay for this? Absolutely not. PLEASE fix the issues that are constantly happening!!

First run with app

jamesbnjr on

Love the concept of using competition and gaining territory as motivation. However, I think the app could still use some updating.

Not for people wanting a fun way to start exercising. Only for people who are already runners.

Thought I would try it to help get me in shape. Tells me I don’t exercise enough to record anything. Thanks for all the support.

Like a game!

This is amazing, quite competitive and gets you a bit more motivated to run.

Pop up Subcriptions

Dwill012 on

Love this app so much. But the pop up subscription page is absolutely annoying and ridiculous. Please remove it. Not everyone can afford to pay monthly.

Bug/ Issue Apple Watch

no satelite on

United States

My stats didn’t transfer correctly from my Apple watch to my IPhone. The duration/time didn’t transfer therefore after capturing blocks on my watch it didn’t count in my profile.

Struggling to log route

Merckab on

United States

I like the app and the game and on day 1 I was able to log my route and claim territory but on day two there was no where to start my workout and I couldn’t find instruction online of how to start tracking the workout.
