This app will not connect to the patient data at all. I used to use it to monitor my wife’s readings. For months it has not been able to connect. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps recommended by Medtronic. Now I get an email telling me to update and there is no update available. I got excited for a minute thinking they had actually fixed it with an update. But, of course, that was too good to be true.
not working
About near two or three weeks the app do not function
About nine months ago, my phone has stopped, giving me alerts for my daughter’s blood sugar when I try to go in and turn the alerts in on it does not no longer give me that option.
Unable to sign in… originally signed out due to the app not showing glucose levels. Seems to be not responding at all
My husband is a type 1 diabetic and the idea of having this app on my phone so I can check his status is great. Especially when he is out on a job. Until it doesn’t work. Which is often. It seems that we are always reinstalling or resetting the info on a weekly basis. So in that regard it is not very reliable. I will wake up in the morning and it is telling me no data. Nothing changed, internet is still up and running, etc.
One of the best things about being able to monitor my spouse’s glucose levels should be the notification functionality. HOWEVER, if I tell the app to wait 15 minutes before notifying me, I get that notification EVEN if my wife has already acknowledged the notification on her pump, and EVEN IF she is no longer low (or high or whatever) at the time the notification is actually sent. If I have repeat notifications on , I will keep getting a notice on my iPhone and Watch until I actually go into the app only to find out that she’s fine. Sometimes I’m not in a position to get out phone and open the app yet my watch buzzes every 30-45 seconds or so with a new repeat notification. Often my wife is walking next to me. Either I should be able to stop notifications from my wrist, the time between notifications needs to be longer or customizable, or both. and once the condition is addressed, repeat notifications should cease! The way things are I can’t keep repeat notifications on for most alerts. Makes app next to useless. Also, how about watch app for us companions. You have for the users. Would be great.
The app is fine - it is very helpful to keep an eye on my kid while at school. Please please please - can there be an Apple Watch complication so I can get the numbers on my watch. The main app that links to the pump has this so I am not sure why this one does not. Also, would be nice if there was a widget option for the Home Screen as well. Anything to make it easier for daily management would be great. These seem like basic app functions.
There is no excuse for a top tier company like Medtronic to continue to allow a software download to poorly do a very important function. Caregivers rely on accurate information to help a patient. This software is all about tracking a very serious MEDICAL condition and it’s unreliability creates a potentially harmful situation. TAKE ACTION NOW to fix this problem!!!!!
