Caribu by Mattel

Used to be great, got steadily worse as they added unnecessary junk. Now the revenue model has killed it. Look elsewhere.

I have been using Caribu for a number of years now to keep in touch with my granddaughter when I am away for long periods. It has provided hours of entertainment and given us a connection which we could easily have lost. The ability to have a monthly subscription makes it an affordable and day to use app. She is using maths and writing sections without realising she’s doing it. I cannot recommend this more highly.

I was reading to my granddaughter. They called me on Caribu as we always do. They could see me but I could not see them which was disappointing.

Get this app it has got 10,0000 games and you can call your friends and family on it but you will need Their phone number and email address

Not used it for awhile but now notice that to watch for free you need credits and gain more with adverts. Doesn’t say how much the credits use up. Obviously want you to pay a monthly subscription now. Disappointed as it was something I could drop into with my grandson.

This app is a waste of time. The communication platform is implemented so bad it is stressful for the grandparents and the children. Fire your devs and try again caribu.

This is a fabulous app for grandparents who don’t live near their grandkids!, My 5year old loves it and I love the way we can share thing. Brilliant - and not just during lockdown.

Enjoyed Caribu with my grandson but I’m giving it a poor score due to the fact that I cancelled subscription as he is due to go back to school soon. We were however cut off mid call-a couple of weeks BEFORE the end of the subscription date. - VERY DISAPPOINTING

I use Caribu to stay in touch with my grandsons- the 4 year old often requests to play! He loves the sequence games - it’s a shame there is only one available without paying an upgrade. We play this endlessly! Tic tac toe is another favourite. It is a joy to be able to play with him whilst being so far apart! Thank you for a fabulous facility!
