Description
This app is designed to display Christmas carol lyrics, one line at a time, for audiences with low vision. Ideal for group caroling in a nursing home. I wrote this for a skilled nursing center to connect to a large screen TV, but it should also work with a projector. I connect my iPhone, iPad, or Mac to the TV with an HDMI cable, click the hamburger menu to choose a carol, then tap the arrow (or space bar) to advance through each line.
The app includes lyrics only -- you'll need to provide your own piano player, recordings, karaoke music, or sing a cappella. Someone will need to advance from screen to screen with the arrow button or typing a space or return or the “2” key.
Carols included: Angels we have heard on high, Away in a manger, The first Noël, Hark! the herald angels sing, It came upon the midnight clear, Joy to the world, O come, all ye faithful, O holy night, O little town of Bethlehem, Silent night, Go tell it on the mountain, We three kings, What Child is this?, Deck the halls, Jingle bells, Gentle Mary laid her child, Good King Wenceslas, Good Christian friends, rejoice, 12 days of Christmas, Here we come a-caroling, God rest ye merry, gentlemen, O Come, O Come, Emmanuel, Up on the housetop, Angels from the realms of glory, Auld Lang Syne, I heard the bells on Christmas Day, Jolly old Saint Nicholas, We wish you a merry Christmas, O Christmas tree. All of these songs are in the public domain.
