I don’t know how I was able to load the few videos and photos that I did. There was no link to access photo library. The first time I used it took too many steps to access and load pictures and too long to load them with no visible means to view load progress. Not very useful. I have one now that is very good, very easy and quick to o use showing percentage of load progress. This app here needs a lot of work to make it useful.
I'm using it to view photos on a 4K TV. It works well but resolution is limited to HD.

Tried several apps including Chromcast, All Cast, and Photo cast; those all have bugs and give inconsistent performance. None would display your iPhone videos upright. Cast Player basic is smooth and intuitive and does not flip your videos which can be very annoying.
however, it needs a slider to jump places in videos
There’s no free app out there for casting besides this one. They either have a bunch of commercials like you were watching a really slow and surreal television show or everything’s an in app purchase. Don’t let people tell you that you don’t ever get something for nothing!
The only app that I’ve found that can automatically play a slideshow of your pictures on any of your albums
I got a chromecast, and the picture and video looks great. A nice feature is that you can watch videos in 1080p when other apps make you pay for hd.
It would be really nice to be able to exit the app and have it continue to run the slide show while I do other things on my phone, but other than that it is a good app for casting my pics and videos!
