Catalyst Voting FAQ
Is Catalyst Voting free?
Yes, Catalyst Voting is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Catalyst Voting legit?
⚠️ The Catalyst Voting app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
Spent weeks of my life researching proposals and doing dude diligence on teams only to find out the Whales at the Cardano Foundation made my voice and unpaid work even more useless. Save the data storage on your phone for something more worthwhile 😪
Long time ADA holder, stopped working after fund 10
Super disappointed. I’ve been unable to register with message “wallet not found” since fund 10, previously being able to vote since find 7 prior to that. Numerous attempts to contact IOHK have yielded any results. Of If I can’t even register to vote for funds, can I trust the app or the chain any more?
Poorly Utilized App
The app has potential, has had potential for 2 years. Yet it remains hamstrung much like the chain itself. A business operating a business platform — innovating off the backs of others whom often go unrecognized — changing only when there is a business benefit. The app is legit, really doubt the chain is at this point. Just a continuous churn of talent who eventually wake up, understand the game and move on to non-Cardano related projects and efforts that benefit members and not just those “at the top.”
FTR, outside of this app and Yoroi (created by a different founding partner) are the only mobile focused apps (to my knowledge) for all countries, for the world — where everyone owns a computer, everyone has broadband, everyone has unlimited data, everyone has 1st world options.
Not working on older Iphone phones
I have 7 plus Iphone and I have dowloaded latest Catalyst app from Apple Store, when open Catalyst always getting: “ You have an old version of Catalyst App.
Please update it in order to be able to vote”
You should add support for IOS 15 and bellow of IOS versions
It never recognizes my wallet
Been trying to register my wallet for days so I can vote in fund10. I get a pop up saying my hash is not recognized and when I click OK I’m met with a screen that says wallet connection successful. Horrible UI/UX
App always crashes please fix it
App always crashes at app launch, tried deleting reinstalling, re registering for new QR code and it always crashes after registering and trying to cast votes, after the first crash it will always crash at app launch… please fix it
This app is a SCAM
It requires you to pay a small fraction of ADA to register, and once you do that and own even more than the minimum amount of coin required to vote, the app will still not let you vote despite you sending them Cardano to register. Stay away from this app.
Great Mission, Needs better UI/UX multiwallets
Great mission, needs the following updates. It is a PAIN to vote right now with multiple projects in multiple categories for multiple wallets! Takes forever.
Improvements:
- search tool
- save desired projects to list to be used for multiple wallets
- auto no vote for all, select yes for selected desired projects from list
- better way to vote for multiple wallets
- include alphabetical order sorting
- better notifications for voting registration
Quite possibly the worst app ever
Horrid UI, no searching, unintuitive for linking wallets for voting
