New devices are phasing out Lightning and have been for almost a year now.
Got the upgrade to CCC 7 to be able to use the feature of iOS backups. Well, it won’t do it in the background and you have to manually trigger the backup to start which makes it pointless. I like CCC for desktop but there are far better apps than this one if you want to backup your iPhone. So this was a bait and switch upgrade for me.
Interface needs work but it does what it works perfectly, I purchased the additional copy to external drive, it’s exactly what I need when traveling so I can trust that my photos and videos are backed up every day.
