CellGate Mobile Connect

Our HOA just installed this system. We’re meant to register a Watchman 480 device, but that isn’t an option in the app. Please help.

BEWARE OF CELLGATE PRODUCTS Their cameras breakdown constantly and have been replaced multiple times. They only record data on a SIM card installed in the camera that you cannot access remotely. A thief with a Phillips head screwdriver could easily steal the SIM card and all the data. I just spent closer to $1000 fixing the power supply a few weeks ago. This morning the face plate touchscreen glass on my call box just fell off, breaking a connector and now it’s useless. Another $5000 repair for a small piece of touchscreen glass that wasn’t glued in properly by the manufacturer. The company refuses to even offer a discount on replacement parts for manufacture defects outside of the one year warranty. In short, their products are shotty and will cost you thousands of dollars in constant repairs. I wish I would’ve never found them and I recommend steering clear of them.

Could really use a dark or night mode. Also option for larger text. Difficult seeing at night. App does its job, just no extras.

trying to set up 2 users. how about something simple being able to 'see' the password typed in there? not able to see it in password fill. needs an overhaul

Our neighborhood got this app a couple of years ago. It seemed to work okay in the. Beginning but since the last update, the app rarely opens the gate for my neighbors or me. What has happened to this app??? Just a waste of time and money for our neighborhood. Hunters Chase POA is very disappointed!!!

This company only maintains their products and services just enough to avoid litigation. They are pure garbage.

This app is unreliable and practically non-functioning. Half the time, it does not make a connection when someone is calling at the gate. The other half of the time, it rings, you pick up and then it drops the call. The temporary QR code is a nice feature but the time allowances don’t work as it should— either you can give 12 hours of access or zero. It’s set up as having a scroll option to choose different durations of time but the only options are 12 hours or zero. The whole app is terrible and needs major fixes.

Just a terrible app, I do not recommend

I’m having issues getting into the gate at my property. Getting a “gate open fail” message.

Every time I upgrade my iPhone software, the Cell Gate will fail to open. I have to shut down my phone and restart the app and it may or may not work on the first attempt. My HOA uses this app and multiple homeowners have expressed the same dissatisfaction. It’s frustrating because I do not like touching keypad when we have an app that is supposed to work and is unreliable!
