Description

The CenlaWX app is like holding all of the meteorological knowledge of Nick Mikulas and Tom Konvicka in the palm of your hand. A lot of weather apps will say they are the most powerful, or the most accurate. Is this one? Probably not, but it’s pretty awesome. The severe alerts, lightning alerts, and the fact that Nick and Tom can push an alert saying something like “Hey, it might rain later” is worth the price of admission, which happens to be $0.

This app will allow you to track clear skies, isolated rain showers, the ultra rare Louisiana snow storm, or to know when to check in with Nick and Tom to see if severe weather is on the way. You can use the live interactive radar, check out the future radar forecast, submit a weather photo, or just take a peek to see what the weather looks like as you head out the door. All this data is streamed directly into the screen in front of you with the personal touch of over 60 years of experience in Central Louisiana weather forecasting. This app will suggest when you might want to go inside because lightning is getting close, sends out alerts for all the wild weather Central Louisiana provides, and brings families together like no weather app in the history of apps that Tom and Nick have helped create. You’ll definitely want to allow your location to be tracked, so you’ll get alerts if you’re on a sailboat in Maui, or on a train in Durango. You can also add locations if you want to see if it’s going to rain at your cousin’s outdoor wedding that you weren’t invited to. There will be video updates, loads of information, and all the weather experience two people can squeeze into one app! We sincerely appreciate you, and will do our best to continue bringing you hype free forecasts and weather information for all of Central Louisiana.

Great so far. Would love to see you include Major and Minor times for hunting and fishing. Then it would be truly a one stop app for CenLa. Keep up the amazing job.

Just downloaded this app. Being a weather nut I will be on this app throughout each and every day. Will have accurate weather for my exact location all the time. Love it!!!

Wonderful forecasting and weather updates. In addition, they keep up updated on wildfires around Louisiana which have been a big problem lately. I’m right on the edge of their coverage area, but their forecast is more accurate for my area than our local group. Edited to add: the only thing I would like to see different about the app, if possible, is a satellite view map. And I may be missing it in the settings - but if it’s not there, that’s something that would be nice in a future update. Otherwise, my 5 star rating still stands 😊
