Central Taxis Edinburgh

Booked a taxi on the app, they took the payment before the booking, it never came, couldn’t track or contact the driver and when I cancelled it it was over £10. It ended up costing me less to find a random street taxi driver than it did to cancel the disastrous scam. Awful

I struggled to set up a pick up (crossing an address is a chore), and after 3 tentatives I removed the app from my phone

The worst app I think I have ever downloaded on my phone. This company has easy lost 100+ taxis from us over the last couple of years as their app is so unreliable. I always give them a chance but not anymore - final straw broken with this useless piece of garbage. Avoid

I would it give a 0 star if possible

I have been a customer of Central Taxi for 20+ years so I thought that I would give the App a try. Absolute failure and a waste of time. I am going to stick to the phone system which does work well.

Complete liars. Too many bookings for a specific time where the show up 30 minutes later if at all. Left my child stranded in a storm and won’t use again.

Almost no feedback, no tracking data or time info until a taxi is on its way to you, which is no use if you book in advance and expect one to arrive. So instead just expect the worst, use an Uber instead.

Just deleted this utterly useless app. Doesn’t deserve 1 star. Edinburgh Central Taxis accepted them cancelled my journey 5 mins later. I was going to the Airport this morning as I was waiting on the street outside my flat. No explanation. Uber we’re much better, more responsive, actually bothered to come pick me up and were cheaper! Don’t bother with this app or Central Edinburgh Taxis. They will mess you about

Pre-booked a taxi, it didn’t show up so I called. After 10minutes on hold I was told ‘I was in the queue’. They then called me back 5minutes later since they ‘found me a taxi’. It arrived about 40minutes later. Overall I was stood outside for nearly an hour, despite booking a taxi in advance.

They won’t pick you up with the app. They won’t answer the phone, they won’t give me my money back from booking a cab either. Yet they wonder why Uber is getting all the service.
