CGTN - China Global TV Network

The latest version which I downloaded just yesterday is only vertically screened. It does not and cannot switch to panoramic screen. I always use my iPad panoramically, not vertically. The last version before yesterday at least I can view CGTN panoramically, or landscape. Hence, I have no choice but to delete the latest CGTN app.

I used to enjoy seeing a different perspective, but when I open up the app, most articles are dated October 2019.

Dear China CGTN news present views of Chinese issues that are not shared by the western world. This creates misunderstanding of the chinese culture and for the most part allows “western” society to vilify China and gives usa an opportunity to create the next enemy in this world. Instead, China cover all news even on the ones that may not be in China’s favour. The world needs a more balanced viewpoint and its time for China to stand up for its own reputation to drum up patriotism and unite all Chinese people.

This App won't work if you are not devoting your full attention to it. As soon as it detected that it is not the primary app on your screen or if you turn off your phone, the app will stop working. It requires your full attention or nothing. (uninstall the app and watch it on your browser. that runs on background while listening the news ) CGTN provides are fairly neutral opinion on international affairs, that make the network a "trustable chinese source of news", amount Al Jazeera and France 24, but they both will work on background mode, CGTN instead won't allow that, draining your battery or accidentally jumping to another subjects in the app ( when the screen is touch while in your pocket ) as you are listening to the news while walking or driving. The app should have a LISTENING ONLY mode but.... knowing as I do chinese people, i doubt it it will happen any time soon. Same with asking for a shortcut to the English channel ( or any other ), just wait....

Please implement the download to iPhone feature so I can watch and read when I am off-line with no data connection. Thanks

Absolutely horrible nothing useful in this app at all do not get its mostly about the USA 🇺🇸 and I put I am from Canada 🇨🇦 was excited stuff from Canada nope all stuff about trump and I don’t need to know how horrible if a person he is so I’m deleting the app global news is way more accurate about there information ℹ️ so FIX your app

Of little use to iPad users. Won’t turn to landscape mode when viewing news clips is far more convenient on an iPad. Why would I use this app when other news apps are setup for tablet users? I’m gonna delete it right now. Too bad because it could have been interesting.

I have an iPad Mini. So why am I seeing the whole app the size of an iPhone screen? Give me an iPad ready app and I’ll download it again—not until.

All of a sudden the app won’t stream. Constantly getting Network Connection Fail error message all of a sudden. When it works it works great.

Congratulations, you got your notifications turned off. When practically every story gets a notification it gets very annoying quickly.
