I've been a user of CH Mobile, a transcription app, as has been our practice of 40+ providers for the past 3-4 years. During this time, my experience has been increasingly frustrating, prompting me to write this review as a caution to potential users. This is relevant to the new update that was just done a few days ago. Lack of Updates and Compatibility Issues: One of the most glaring issues with CH Mobile is the infrequency of its updates. The app's development seems stagnant, with the most recent update arriving just a few days ago after a long hiatus…. Over 5 year hiatus. This update was prompted by the complete inability for the application to function after a recent iOS update. Unfortunately, this update seems outdated upon arrival, offering compatibility only up to iOS 13. In an era where software needs to evolve rapidly, this is a significant drawback. My AirPods won’t sync I contacted tech-support they say that the Bluetooth function changed in iOS after iOS 13 and therefore is currently not up-to-date even with their most up-to-date version. Missing Features and Performance Glitches: The absence of support for popular accessories like AirPods further limits the app’s utility, especially for users who rely on wireless devices for transcription work. Moreover, the app is plagued with numerous glitches, making the transcription process less efficient and more cumbersome than it should be. Poor Customer Support and High Costs: My experience with CH Mobile's customer service has been particularly disheartening. Despite repeated attempts by my administrators to engage with CH Mobile’s team, the response has been lackluster. For an app that commands a high price, the lack of prompt and effective support is unacceptable. Administrative Challenges: From an administrative standpoint, the app falls short in providing necessary support and functionalities, making it a less viable option for professional settings. Conclusion and Recommendation: Given these persistent issues, my recommendation would be to approach CH Mobile with caution. The combination of its high cost, outdated updates, lack of essential features, and poor customer support makes it a challenging tool for efficient transcription work. Users should consider exploring other options that are more aligned with their needs and provide better value for money. As for my team and me, we are actively seeking alternatives and would advise others to carefully evaluate their options before committ
This app has become useless. It needs an iOS 17 update. I’ve reached out to them about this issue a month ago and yet still no update. I am not sure if there’s one coming.
