Chancellorsville Battle App

Another Civil War buff who has used this program in depth at Gettysburg and now Chancelorville, Fredricksburg. The GPS in combination with the Troop locater puts me in the middle of battle unlike any guide could. Kudos to the guides and park services by the way.

My kids thought I had a doctorate in Civil War history! I used this application throughout my entire battle field study with my family. Although some of the landmarks we're not accessible by car, this application walked us through the entire Flank Attack of Stonewall Jackson. Provided exceptional historical context and input throughout each stop. Gave the kids a thorough understanding of the mechanics of the battle with interesting perspectives from the basic soldier to the Generals. Recommend that those who plan to be the primary guide for your group download the day prior and study the material a little deeper so it is easier to use the application and gain the macro level understanding. It provides rich content and additional reading material that helps to spark incredible conversation. Ages of my kids ranged from 16-11yrs of age. All of them thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Thanks for providing a great tool for this civil war history neophyte!

This app has the same bugs that the Fredericksburg app has and Gettysburg app had in that videos won't play. Please fix it.

This app is great- excellent information, user friendly, great audio/visual, maps and professionally done. This is a great resource for students and history buffs. Kudos to the folks at NPS!

I used this for my report on the Battle of Chancellorsville, and it is truely great! five stars!

Being the civil war buff I am, i downloaded the app even if I didn't even plan on going to the battlefield. It's amazing! Download the other civil war battlefield apps as well, it's a learning experience on and off the field.

Being a Civil War Buff I can truly say Job Well Done once again. I have all the battle apps and can say with all honesty that you will not be disappointed what so ever by down loading this app and all the other battle apps. You find yourself on the battlefield as you read the articles or watch the video or listen to the audio. You will not go wrong with this app. If you are a Civil War Buff like myself or just want to learn more about the Civil War then I Highly Recommend you download this app and all others that have been developed. This is the newest of the Civil War apps, and it works just as well as the other ones. My son is studying the civil war in school, and these apps are great resources. We haven't visited any of the battlefields, so I can't vouch for how it works in the field.

I live in the area and this App pointed out things I didn't know. A lot of people pass through this battlefield and the Wilderness battlefield on Route 3 without any comprehension what went on here. Well worth a download, even if you don't intend to visit.
