Character Prompts FAQ
Is Character Prompts free?
Yes, Character Prompts is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Character Prompts legit?
Not enough reviews to make a reliable assessment. The app needs more user feedback.
I already have writing prompts and art prompts, so I gave this a try. My feelings are mixed at best.
I see on an earlier update that you fixed it so first names for women would show up in the basic mode. From my experience with the app you may have fixed it too well, since I usually get 15-20 female names before I get one male name, and then it's back to a long string of female names.
Why not allow us to set the preference for male or female, and then pull random names or other attributes from that set?
The other problem I had so far was with jobs/salary amount. They aren't connected at all, so it's not uncommon to end up with a menial job where the person earns a six figure salary. If they aren't going to be even somewhat close, I don't see the point of having the salary at all.
So far I find it to be an okay character generator, a good starting point maybe, but by no means is it a perfect solution.
Astounding app.
I love this app. When you cannot think of something new, presto chang-o, this app gives quick ideas!
Now all it needs is to do a full blown personality list for me and my brain could rest, then again, that may take all the fun out of writing...
Super Fun!
Trying to write a story is so MUCH easier! Love this!
Update
Have hundreds of characters - need to add character line so I can indenify and go back to the character for reference. Like a database. Or a database with all my characters, wow!
Waste of money
The app generates random stats for characters, such as 98 yo 278 lbs red- haired Russian truck driver. There is no way to control any of the traits, gender, age. What if i dont want a red-haired character? Maybe if i keep sweeping i will find someone i like. You cant customize any of the traits. Ridiculous. Waste of money.
Fan-Freakin-tastic!
Love this app! Makes you really look into the character you are creating
