Description

Charity Miles is a free app that enables you to earn money for charity whenever you walk, run or bike. Anytime. Anywhere.
Since our founding in 2012, Charity Miles has helped earn nearly $3 million for amazing charities, thanks to the support of our corporate sponsors.
Now we have a brand NEW and innovative way to raise even more money for your charity than ever before.
Through Charity Miles, you can create your own Pledge Page where your friends can sponsor you… even if you’re not doing a marathon or race.
The more your friends pledge, the more money you can earn. Literally UNLIMITED.
Many people raise money by doing things like marathons and 10Ks. But now you can do it year-round, even if you’re not doing a race and WITHOUT having to pester your friends.
Of course, it’s great to reach out to ask your friends to sponsor you personally.
But just by sharing your Charity Miles on social media will subtly give your friends the opportunity to find your Pledge Page and throw some support your way… WITHOUT you having to reach out every time. It basically does the fundraising FOR you!
Plus when your friends sponsor you, they’re entered into a drawing to win cool prizes from our sponsors, like a trip to Hawaii.
And, the more money you earn for your charity, the more chances you’ll have to win cool prizes (and even more money for your charity) from our sponsors too.
Charity Miles also now syncs with Strava and your phone’s Health Kit (and therefore, any devices you have connected to them).
This enables you to turn all the miles you’re going to walk, run or bike anyway into money for charity. Anytime. Anywhere.
If you’re the kind of person who is already raising money for charity, this will help you raise even more money for them.
If you’re the kind of person that wants to make an impact, but maybe marathons aren’t your thing… or you can’t make your charity’s walking event, or you don’t feel comfortable asking your friends to support you, we’ve got you covered.
You can use any fitness tracker on the app store to track your miles. But if you’re the kind of person that wants to make a difference, Charity Miles will turn those miles into money for charity.

Charity Miles Reviews

No measure of contributions.

I’d really like it if we got any kind of information about the donations we earned for our charities with our miles. It makes it feel very sketchy and I’m not convinced this is a real thing. It has high ratings but… 🤷‍♀️Deleting with hope this changes in the future, I’ll check in.

It was ok but it did not give me my money but I did lose 50pounds

Miles wouldn’t save

The phone has to be constantly on, if you accidentally left your phone on quick settings, or turned it off, the miles don’t save. The app also doesn’t show me how much I donated :/ I really would like to know how much I helped UNICEF.

Inaccurate calibration

In chat support is fast but once you move to email (to give screenshots) it is sooo slow. I eventually realized where one issue was coming from on my own, but the profile history still shows data one day behind (ie. Shows 04/01 activity on 03/31).

Needs work.

It has to be on and recording your miles. I don’t know if it will work while my Strava is on, but I am not going to put two different activity trackers on. Seems kinda silly. A weight lifting workout gave me 0.3 miles. Why wouldn’t it track heart rate or some other way to clock this activity. Seems like the ap could use some fixing.

I ❤️ the idea of this but I am so frustrated with it!!! So inconsistent tracking my activity! I quit!

Not a happy user

I and my husband started using Charity Miles when it first came out. We loved knowing all our walking was benefiting a worthy cancer charity. My husband has since lost his battle with cancer and I walk even more miles than before. Why am I not a happy user you ask? It is a consistent problem that I’m encountering and I’m really not happy with it. I walk all these miles and it doesn’t even log in! This is an ongoing problem and I’m ready to switch to another app.
