Updated my phone and now I can't see everyone's profile properly, pics and avatar isn't appearing, tried reinstalling, it's still that way

Hi, I really hope the devs of this app see this. I’m 15 years old, and... very concerned. When I downloaded this app, I honestly thought I’d get an actual conversation. What have I actually gotten? People asking for nudes, people pretending to be teens, and most recently, someone who actually threatened to photoshop a picture i sent them and spread it. I’m terrified. I really am. I hope your app burns.
