While I like checkers, I have to admit that it's not my favorite board game. But when you come across an app this good, it's hard to resist. This is quite clearly a labor of love, a far cry from the plethora of crappy done-quickly-to-make-a-buck checkers apps that pollute the app store. First off, it's international checkers, which is played on a 10x10 board, allows reverse captures, and where kings can move any number of squares. This game is so superior to American checkers that if you play it once, you will never want to play American checkers again. In addition to this, the app comes with a ton of exercises for practice, as well as a bunch of video tutorials! Try finding that even on a top-notch chess app! If you have any interest in checkers at all, buy this app! The author has done a fantastic job, and has set the bar so high I can't imagine it being surpassed any time soon.

Marcel is the first developer to make both checkers and chess accessible to blind players of either game on the iOS platform. JUst like CHess-Wise, CHeckers-Wise and similar games developed by Marcel live up to all he states. In addition, all of the board games are accessible to a blind person. Marcel took his apps that were essentially inaccessible and within a few weeks made them fully accessible. Developers can see that an independent developer such as Marcel invested time in making his app accessible to another segment of the market that tends to be overlooked. It has benefitted him in many ways and most important proves that accessibility does not have to cost a lot or take anything away from an app. So, great job Marcel for an excellent and accessible app.

Ik speel veel met dit programma en vind het nog steeds spannend,maar verlies ook wel veel maar dat maakt het zo mooi. Dank je wel.

leuk bordje op de iphone, naspelen toernooibase werkt goed, maar wordt niet geüpdatet. Spelen tegen de app is niet interessant, app speelt zeer zwak en geeft zelfs af en toe wat schijven weg.

Een ster van mij. Niet meer. Een update naar Toernooibase is niet meer toegepast na het seizoen 2011/2012. Ik ben daar zeer ontevreden over.

Al een paar maanden in mijn bezit. Bener erg tevreden over. Leuk tijdverdrijf. Jammer dat je niet online tegen anderen kunt spelen.

Ook al dam je niet sterk, dan nog win je elk potje. Heel leuk spel om de verveling te verdrijven dus.

Voor de echte dammers een hele fijne app omdat je op een echt dambord speelt en niet op een checkers-bord met 3 rijen stenen! Lekker om mee te oefenen en nog heel veel niet-ontdekte mogelijkheden voor mijn zoontje van 10!

Dit is een fijne app met veel en uitgebreide mogelijkheden. Ook komen er regelmatig updates. Ik ben vooral blij met upgrades van de achterliggende engine zodat ik kan proberen of ik het systeem kan achterhalen. Om op die manier een strategie te ontwikkelen om hem altijd te verslaan. Voor de laatste versie is het intussen al weer zover, dus van mij mag er weer een nieuwe update komen. Duidelijk een aanrader voor elke damliefhebber!
