My son got this for a Christmas present. It works well but the Wi-Fi never connects and the Bluetooth is short lived. Have you stopped supporting this product?
Yes, Chefman Sous Vide is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.

This app took my phone down to 40% from fully charged in just a few hours. I've never seen my battery drop that fast.
Either the app or the product is completely worthless in terms of the connectivity to Bluetooth or wifi. It worked the first time or two I used it (although it took forever to connect) but hasn’t worked in over a year. Find another product.
You cannot select the WiFi network and does not stay connected to Bluetooth. Will not connect to WiFi even if you manually enter information. Part of the reason for purchase was to be able to start the machine from remote locations. This definitely stifles the function abilities. And it seems like it has well over a year since last update.
It cooks great, connects through Bluetooth, connected once through WiFi and then never again! The app obviously needs an update, it should simply share WiFi info from your phone, but I guess that would be too easy
I don’t now why, but when I use that app, my IPhone 11pro becomes too hot. My sous vide connected by Bluetooth
Why do you have 20 character limit on WiFi passwords in the app? WPA2-PSK supports passwords up to 63 characters? 20 characters seems like a totally arbitrary limit that doesn’t even fit the technology’s spec. Overall fine app, but seems like y’all need to workout a lot of issues with WiFi based on these reviews. Bluetooth works fine, but it’s tedious to connect every time.
I wrote another review and since it’s not here anymore for some reason, I’m writing another. Yes, the app controls the unit. But for some reason it has never worked right if the unit is connected WIFI. The timer doesn’t count down at all in the app if the unit is connected WIFI. It does on the unit itself and it will in the app of connected Bluetooth, but not WIFI. Something so simple as a timer should easily be syncable over WIFI. It defeats the purpose of connecting WIFI if you lose any functionality. I hope they finally fix it soon.
Can’t get any recipes or calculator to load anymore?? Guess I get to resort to DuckDuckGo.
Loving this so far but would love it even more if there was an active live status bar similar to navigation apps that could always be displayed at the top of the home screen. Tap on it to go directly back to the controller. Know what I’m trying to describe?
