Overall the app performs well and does what it’s supposed to do without bugs or constant urges to spend money, a very big plus. However I would like to see some more customization options like changing the chess set or a dark mode option. Very nice app and I would recommend it for your PGN file needs.
This is a good for using the books of Everyman and also your own PGN files. But I would love to change the piece set to Merida . This is not possible . This app is also the only on who open my person pgn which is stored in a cloud without going completely ballistic like Stockfisch or the chess24 app who thinks my pgn file is empty. So guys put in the option of using different piece set and you get a 5 star instead of the 4 star .

Op de ipad werkt deze app erg fijn. Op de iPhone iets minder omdat je daar niet de tekst van de ebooks en het bord op hetzelfde scherm hebt. Niettemin een goede pgn reader. De ebooks kunnen volgens mij nog wel iets verbeterd worden. Ik lees nu "the giants of chess strategy" . Een erg goed boek. Mijn enige kritiekpunt is dat de inleidende tekst tussen de partijen soms wat raar samengevoegd is. Ik ga zeker meer ebooks kopen. Naar mijn mening is de ipad uitstekend geschikt voor schaakboeken. Je hebt geen apart bord meer nodig om een partij na te spelen. Lekker onderuit gezakt op de bank of in de trein een schaakboek lezen ;)
Very nice app now I can take all my games with me.
Would have liked autoplay and each PGN field searchable individually. In portrait mode the notation is a bit close to the forward/backward buttons which can cause annoying miss taps sometimes. Good app overall.
It is a very good app, but the ebooks are too expensive!
It is quite convenient for reading and playing through the Everyman Chess books. But there is still a lot to be improved. For instance with opening books there are no handy indexes and move-trees with hyperlinks to the important games. The experience of using the printed originals from Everyman is still much better. Nevertheless I have already bought about ten books in digital form and I will continue to do so.

The last update improved my experience a lot. Now you have the board and game notes combined in one screen.
