Irreplaceable
Super fun and easy way to study openings. Doesn’t just ask you to memorize theory, but always provides small explanations why the moves makes sense. Super easy to come back and keep reviewing the opening repertoire you build so you learn quickly. So far it has been 10/10
I personally enjoy the user interface of this app. It’s a good way to learn
Wow I am amazed by this app and how much opening theory I learned in just a few days one of if not the best chess learning apps out there would recomend.
iPhone 16. On first open the app asks me what rating I am. After I select a rating I get the animated circle that never goes away. I’ll give the app 5 stars for now anyway because it seems very well designed otherwise and very useful. Will update my review if necessary after spending more time with it.
I was planing to get a book for learning chess openings but this app taught me to do the Scandinavian defense and queens gambit and old variation trap for the queens gambit. Plus i got this app a week ago. It teaches you on how to act against Certain moves. It also gives you openings you should learn in your Elo range in chess.com or lichess. In conclusion this is a good app for learning openings
Wish I would have found this before spending hundreds of dollars on Chessable lifetime repertoire courses. Being able to build openings based on your current skill level and the most common responses from your opponents at that level is so much more useful than memorizing lines that are probably extremely rare outside of high level gameplay. Definitely recommend the premium version of this app if you enjoy studying openings.
The app freezes on the loading screen!
This is the first time I’ve EVER wrote an App Store review for an app. I just got this app about 1 hour ago and already learned the basics to 3 of my favorite openings. I love the repetition building system. They have studies for you every time you want to learn more. This is the #1 app for any chess player who wants to sharpen their tools. Absolutely phenomenal work.
