Good for car trips, not for hikers
If you want to hit all the scenic turnouts and overlooks on a scenic drive, then this is the app for you. If you want to plan out a hiking trails itinerary, look elsewhere. I had planned a combination of both things and it really annoys me that this app doesn’t let you add even the most popular park trails to your personal park itinerary. For such an expensive app, I expected MUCH better.
Great Customer Service and a beautiful app
I had a problem with the app not recognizing a park I was at. I emailed and someone responded immediately. Plus the app is just fun!
I don’t see the benefit
I don’t see how this is any better than the free NPS app. Much of the content seems pulled directly from the NPS.

I absolutely love the Chimani app. Awesome and fun way to keep track of your National Park travels and check in and save that you were there! It’s a great way to keep track of all the places you went and it’s simple and easy to do. The app also gives lots of great information about the parks! Everything you need is all in one place. This app provides no information about the trails. You can find better info online.
Excellent Tool in the park!
This is a very helpful ap! When ur in a lot of these parks there isn’t any cell service so this was a godsend when we were in Yellowstone and Grand Teton. You can do a lot of research online ahead of time but this ap acts as a companion and also offers a lot of hidden gems. We wouldn’t have spotted our mama and baby moose without it!
Renewal refund
We recently sold our RvV and no longer used app. A refund for recent renewal was given promptly. Thank you.
Forced Subscription
Please allow some level of use of the app before forcing someone to create an account. I don’t like having all these useless accounts because I was forced to make one before knowing if the app would even be worth it.
