This is the app I was looking for. It gives a digital watch beep on the hour and beeps when Do Not Disturb is on. I haven’t had any problems with it.
No issues, never noticed An ad. I have it play a grandfather sound at the top of the hour and a old casio beep at the bottom half. It asked me to rate so I’m hoping it doesn’t start pestering me like some apps do even after you rated.
This app does NOT work
This app, though it’s a little tricky at first, it’s amazingly helpful when you get a hold of it! It helps you stay organized by telling you, with different sounds, what time of the day you’re in. It’s lovely and it keeps you tuned to real time.
None at all
This works, but it’s less than wonderful. Tinny, wanted it to strike the hour and quarter, but it won’t without costly additions. Look for Westminster in the App Store.
I had to play around with it until I understood how to make it work but now it works and I really like it. I work a 12-hour job overnight and the clock striking helps me get thru my shift.
I really like this app, which was a life saver when Westminster Chimes, the app I originally used, stopped working after a major iOS update. However, this one is a bit tricky to set up; and, because of language issues between most users and the developer, what explanations there are in the configuration are very confusing. I was finally able to set it up for most of the chime sounds, which I alternate from time to time. However, I have been unable to get the cuckoo clock to work. This option is under the tab called “Sounds”, and I was able to save the times at which I wish it to sound. But, this option is neither found under “Config” nor under “Edit Groups”. I have sent a query to the developer, as I have done a few other times when initially configuring the app; but, we have difficulty understanding each other. How does one get the items only found under “Sounds” to become the default?
Finally, I found an app that does everything I needed to do! Most importantly, it works with iOS 17 !!! One sound on the hour. A different sound on the half hour. A still different sound on the quarter hours. A voice to announce the hours and/or half hours if I want it. My only problem is that it’s a lot of work to set up. I would have used the app ages ago, but it looked too hard. After iOS 17 killed all my other Chime/Beep apps, I decided to give it another try. Hey, it works. It just takes some effort. Thanks, 🙏
