Chinese Words for Beginners

Newly revised based on feedback from some of our 125,000 users, this word recognition and language learning tool provides a new “Touch” mode which allows new readers and language learners to simply touch pictures and words to hear native voices saying the common words in the game. In Touch Mode, users can press any word in any set, as often as they like, and hear the sounds for each word in a clear voice.
Chinese for Beginners is a tool for learning the written Chinese language, while providing native voicing for basic words and characters. When used as part of Chinese language education, the learning guide and built-in “hints” transform a simple “match the words to pictures” exercise into a way to gain some building-blocks for understanding the Chinese writing system. Works in matching English to Chinese and pictures, and for matching Chinese to English and pictures. The game includes 288 basic words in 16 sets, covering over 500 characters. A good range of word groups and character components are covered that will be useful to any beginning and elementary Chinese language learner. A REVIEW mode helps introduce characters; the PLAY mode tracks progress and high scores.
All Chinese words can be voiced (in all modes) with either a female or male voice. Excellent standard pronunciation is provided for every word in the 16 sets.
