Chirp Access FAQ
Is Chirp Access free?
Yes, Chirp Access is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Chirp Access legit?
⚠️ The Chirp Access app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
There's no option to setup a shortcut in IOS and use it with siri it become really irritating to look for your phone Everytime you approach your apartment complex main entrance. Gatewise is far more convenient in this area.
No siri support for handicap
This app has no siri support to help handicap folks voice command opening doors listed in the app. It also does not support creating shortcuts for opening designated door thru a simple click, instead of taking time to navigate thru the app to open one door. Imagine when it gets dark, and not safe, one has to stand outside, partially disabled, rummaging the app to open a door, which can easily be done using shortcut or siri with one single click or voice command.
It works great! Buuuut
Update to fit iPhone 15 Pro Max!!!! The app UI overlaps with the iPhone UI and it makes it impossible to click certain buttons at the top!
Seriously flawed idea
It seems like a cool futuristic idea to have access to your home and gate through an app on your phone, but it’s actually a very stupid idea for two big reasons.
1. You’re not legally allowed to use your phone while you drive and car insurance companies often track your phone usage with apps, which affect your insurance rate. If the app was compatible with Apple Car Play that would solve it, but it isn’t (which is mind blowing).
2. If your phone dies or gets lost or your phone service goes down for some reason, you’re completely unable to get into your apartment complex. Having no backup plan is insane to me.
I cannot understand why so many apartment complexes are using this sort of technology without a backup option.
Hate this
This could be a good idea if also given a key fob option. As it is, the icon at the top of the app are too far up to tap. This means that if I try to use a door other than saved ones I have to stand there forever scrolling to find the door. The passkey number is random and hard to remember. Also, don’t get me started on the times I popped out to my car to get something with only my keys or if my phone dies while I’m out. I shouldn’t be locked out of my home just because I don’t have access to my phone. It’s frustrating.
Why can you not lock your door remotely?
Why don’t locks auto lock within 10secs and why can’t you lock remotely in case you forgot?
Formatting for IPhone 15 Pro is off
I use this app daily for work but in order for me to switch from screen to screen I have to close the app then open it back up. The back but is being overlapped by the time. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it to see if that would correct the problem but it doesn’t.
Baffling App Design
It’s absolutely baffling that the main entry point, my home, takes three clicks to get to in the app but the pool (which is closed 60% of the year) is right there when I open the app because it can be added to “favorites” but my front door cannot.
There is no reason there can’t just be a simple, re-orderable list of entry points with toggling lock/unlock buttons as the first tab you see when you open the app (we’ll no reason other than cheating out when building said app, I guess). This runs like something designed using 90s technology.
Doesn’t Work Without Service
Interface is awful. If your building has an underground garage then your stuck if you don’t get good service. Terrible app.
horrible
if I could give 0 stars, I would. I spent almost 30-40 minutes outside my own home trying to get in because it wouldn’t open my door. Thankfully, I have a key and have no need to ever use this app again. The only positive thing from using this app is I will NEVER leave my keys at home again.
