Very good App
Pretty good
Have been using this app a while now, at home or on holiday. Simple to use and meets my needs
I think the hit rate is much better than I expected - so well done
This app suggest birds than identifies. Owls, buzzards, 2 types of woodpeckers suggested - none of which were in my garden….:
So so helpful and simple to use. Absolutely superb.
On first using the app I was impressed with the recording and level of sound as well as the quick and accurate identification of the birds. However less than a week in and I am increasingly frustrated as the identifications become more random and there is no information given about the bird as to the likelihood that you would hear it in that place at this time of year. The instructions are minimal and the device keeps playing the same recording over and over without me being able to work out why. Do I have to say yes to the identification given before it will stop? Very frustrating - I feel I have to teach rather than learn. Maybe it is a giant collector of mis-identified birdsong. On one occasion it identified something really weird but I can’t get back into see at this point because that is another strange aspect of the app it doesn’t allow me to side swipe the recordings it goes to a black screen and keeps playing the touched listed recording over and over. Not happy…….
Fun to use and pretty accurate. Didn’t realise how many different birds were around!
I really wanted this to work as it is easy to use, only trouble is it gave me more or less the same three birds each time, no matter what I was recording. An owl, a dove and a cuckoo or a robin! I live in the country and have a lot of bird song, and am familiar with a lot of it, and a lot I need to identify. I do know what I am listening to is not any of the above! Shame but not fit for purpose sadly.
