First of all, i downloaded this app out of curiosity and quite randomly. But This app is more entertaining than i thought i would be. Great stories, we also could chose to be LGBTQ+ 🏳️🌈 in almost every stories which i’m very impressed. Although, it would be better if you have a save file for us. So we don’t have to restart the game just to redo some part the story. Still, a very good game! I might spend my money on a certain stories soon lmao
It’s a great place to play these stories, but it is hard playing through and repeating my choices on mobile. I usually have to play a story many times to get the endings, so could you please add some quick save function? Thanks.
Love the app and the spin offs. I’m currently experiencing a bug on my restart of royal affairs if possible to get a fix. These games definitely make it fun for readers.
This is the definitive modern choose your own adventure text game experience, with many different stories to choose from and a quality roleplaying game system at their core. From exploring the world from the point of view of a house cat to conquering Alaska with a robot army to sailing the Caribbean at the head of your own pirate armada to quietly living as a polyamorous witch in a small town, the stories are as varied and diverse as the gameplay that drives them, with wildly inventive and occasionally challenging skill sets and a consistently interesting cast of characters in each one. The app has a huge catalogue of stories and each entry has been a pleasure to read. I’ve been reading them for years and years now, and they never get old. They’re moderately priced and provide a lot of bang for your buck, with branching storylines that are fun to explore over time. I cannot recommend it enough.
I love that you can read books and participate in them and only watch a few adds! The story lines are great and it’s been an amazing way to get me to read more. I also love that I restart stories if I want so I can get different endings.
creme de la creme is so in depth and intricate! i loved the intrigue
Fun app! Lots of variety, and you can read the first few chapters free so you dont have to guess at what you’ll like.
I loved the new release, Book of Hungry Names. Genuinely the best Choice of Games game I’ve ever played.
I have been reading/playing/enjoying choice of games novels for about ten years. I’m not even sure what to call it. Do I play them? Read them? Yes. Anyway, I have been a fan of so many of their titles. Standouts for me are: Drag Star, The Heroes Rise Trilogy, and Lies Under Ice. I was also a huge fan and player of the World of Darkness games back in the ‘90s. Imagine how thrilled I was to see the partnership between CoG and WoD! The Vampire novels were amazing. As was the Wraith novel (or, novels, really, if you dig deeply enough!) As was the Hunter novel. I was in heaven. Enter: The Book of Hungry Names. Now, I loved Werewolf: the Appcalypse back in the day but I was always more of a Vampire: the Masquerade fan. Didn’t matter. CoG + WoD had been A-Ok and I was excited about a Werewolf novel. It did not disappoint. I have laughed out loud, cried, sent screenshots of the beautiful prose to friends, and generally gushed about how awesome the Book of Hungry Names has been to read. And I haven’t even finished it yet! (Standout quotes from TBoHN include: “…I’m not allowed to use pronouns after what happened last time” and “Are we really listening to Debbie Gibson, here?” plus a really good Carly Simon pun). I’m someone who reads and re-reads these novels to experience the richly different narratives that change given the variable choices available. I have ESPECIALLY loved Choice of Games because they prize queer and trans narratives and prize allowing queer and trans readers to not only see themselves in the main character, but actually SHAPE the main character to be someone who represents them. That is priceless. I want to sincerely thank Choice of Games and all of their authors and the other people who work to make these novels/games/unforgettable experiences happen. You have a lifelong fan and a huge admirer in me. Sorry for the long overdue review. ❤️
