Description

With ChordPadX, chords are at your fingertips! Trigger chords and notes intuitively, with a human touch.
Focused on intuition and efficiency, this app gives you the tools to create new song ideas in seconds. It will enable you to very easily trigger chords that sound good together. It's made for all levels of musicians, from pro to beginner.
Pick from a selection of dynamic templates and find chords based on your choices. Rearrange the pads with drag and drop to form the layout that you need. Or create your own from scratch by dragging chords from the palette.
Use your fingers to trigger multiple pads at the same time. The pads are velocity sensitive and the response curve is adjustable with precision.
Then adjust the chords through advanced editing. Change the chord type, alter the voicing with chord inversion, add bass, or choose a new pad color. You can also add a label of your choice.
All chords generated by the app are also sent to the MIDI output.
Trigger the pads directly with your fingers, or use the MIDI input to control them.
Use drag and drop between apps! ChordPadX and Suggester can communicate through drag and drop. You can also drag pads and chords into another app if it supports MIDI drag and drop.
Use Audio Unit (AUv3) and Core MIDI to connect with other apps. Sync up the tempo with Ableton Link.

ChordPadX Reviews

Nice, but need some Suggester functions

almorsov on

Hello! This app is nice and useful but there is no “borrow” function as you realized it in Suggester. OK, I’m in C and I want to use Cm next. I can’t do it! Please add this function and the app will be much better. Thank you.

This is absolutely an amazing app For any singer who wants to concentrate on his voice performance focusing on singing rather than forming chords is a blessing. The app allows to assign all the chords you need including inversion positions

Pad not working when pressed

Everything seems to work but when I press the pads nothing happens. I’ve messed with the settings, nothing seems to work (Will change rating once whatever’s wrong gets fixed)

This could be a killer app with some enhancements

The ability to explode chords meaning the explode the notes of any chord onto the 16 pads Enabling the user to perform bass lines or Melodie’s form the notes contained in the chord Add ability for strum chords since the app is AUV3 it does not necessarily need to record midi within the app but it would be nice if you could write your entire song with in the app as it currently stands. The app can be used to generate midi on a track within a DAW. I could use one instance to crate the chord progression move the midi to my desired piano app If I could explode the 4 chords into 4 smaller boxes contain 16 squares and work out bass and melody This concept would better be applied to the standalone app as AUV3 does provided limited space

Is it weird that this app changed my life?

I think reviews are requested to soon This app is more complex than my skill level I am hoping it will do everything I would like it to do but I don’t know yet There are things I need to learn before I will be able to know this I have great hope that it will be a 5 star app Maybe the 3 star rating that I gave is really for me

No Velocity Response Without 3D Touch

Misleading. Wasted my upgrade purchase. I’m not using an old iphone.

Nice app! Includes features I haven’t found in other apps

First off, thank you to the developer who quickly helped me troubleshoot and resolve an issue I was having when trying to use the app. I was not expecting such a quick response to my support inquiry or for a resolution to be offered during our first exchange. The app is well designed and I like the included features. It works well with my custom built arduino midi controller and allows me to do things I haven’t found in other apps.
