The Egyptian Society CI (EgSCI) is a non-profit Egyptian organization founded by Cochlear Implant Surgeons from different CI Institutes in Egypt. Its latest Activity is the organization of "5th World Congress on CI in Emerging Nations" in the period 9-11 October 2019 in Egypt under the umbrella of "Global CI access Network".
The Department of Otolaryngology at MHH is internationally renowned for having the world’s largest cochlear implant program, aimed at both hearing-impaired and deaf patients. One of the priority areas is provision of hearing systems – from the development of the devices themselves to lifelong support for our patients. Together with the German Hearing Center Hannover and the scientific laboratories form the joint platform for these activities. The Department is directed by Professor Thomas Lenarz one of the leading authorities in CI.
