I’ve used the for my MSc dissertation, I’ve just exported the references to find loads of details wrong/missing and had to spend 12+ hours fixing them.
Thankfully I was a few days ahead and had time, but it’s meant I’ve lost 2 days of my holiday ☹️
Great app for keeping all your references in one place
Great app for keeping all your references in one place
Scanner doesn’t work
When scanning a UK barcode of a novel in English, the iPhone app returned a selection of translated works in German
Excellent
Easy to use, a wealth of different referencing styles, a joy to use much recommended
You've broken it!
Guys, the 'in-text' copy link, that used to be a pen, that you could use to generate an in text reference isn't working on desktop OR mobile. This is a huge bummer. What have you done?!?
Perfect but limited
This is a great app. Really, it’s brilliant. I used to use RefMe and since it was merged into CiteThisForMe it hasn’t been as good. Citationsy is the perfect replacement.
However, I’m in the middle of an important critical review where I need a bibliography of 25-30 papers. Citationsy will not let me add any more than 13 papers to my bibliography and just stops working. I can’t find anything to say that I need to pay for pro to have more references, so I’m now stuck using two separate projects. Stupid and time consuming.
It works!
I've tested it out and it does everything I want. Search books from the web, enter website url, scan barcode from books. I like the way that you can make folders to organise your references for projects. Lots of export options too (including cut and paste) and it has the Harvard referencing style which I am required to use for my textile degree. Great!
Fake app
after you sign up an account, it just show ‘your user name or password is wrong’, if u keep trying it will lock your account for 5 mins, then I reset my password and try again after 5 mins, still wrong, try again, wrong again. What a crap app?!
Could be better
Thought it was a great app at the beginning with great clear design but already at the second book I was referencing I could look up the book but then no data would appear on the page...
