too bad USA today bought this once great local paper

Well done coverage of storm recovery efforts.

As a former home owner in Lake Lure and a condo owner in downtown Asheville I am grateful for the coverage of the Citizen Times over the large area of disaster in western NC. Though gut wrenching and heartbreaking I want all the information possible to keep informed of the recovery and judge where to contribute monetary assistance. Anna Rentz

My daughter and her family lives in Asheville and we wanted to stay abreast of the situation with the hurricane. As others, they were without power and water. Thanks to your services I reached out to them with up to date info on where to find potable water, gasoline and propane for their generator and cooking. Thank you for your services

Big Shortcoming

M1M1M1M1xyz on

Does not seem to be anyway to suspend delivery for a vacation hold, or unsubscribe on the website

Better than nothing …barely

No way to curate what I don’t want to read. Very poorly designed. Difficult to navigate. Do it over, and do it right.

Constant breaking news alerts that are not breaking news

Worldgadabout on

I love having a local paper. But the constant breaking news alerts are ridiculous! Today is the eclipse and one of the breaking news alerts was actually there’s an eclipse. Where do you get your glasses? I don’t consider that breaking news.

Great paper that’s easy to view on digital. Also my experience with the customer service area has been excellent!

Enjoying Being Connected to AVL

Useful news delivered daily. Keeps me informed. Almost a single source.

Unreadable!

DrBethSR on

United States

Between the pop-up ads, the bar that conceals the top of the USA Today pages, and the “navigation “ tools that send you away from your current page every 30 seconds, the app interferes more with reading the paper than enables it. Very user unfriendly!
