縱橫識字 (CKC OCR)
「本檢索工具」由香港教育大學中國語言學系縱橫資訊科技語文發展中心設計，為方便查檢漢字的縱橫碼及學習中文而設，檢索結果會列出所有縱橫碼的組合（包括簡碼、全碼及異體字編碼），如「為」會列出：000、3、34、3400等多種輸入碼。
縱橫輸入法以漢字的「四角」為筆形編碼，取碼依次序為左上、右上、左下、右下（像英文字母「Ｚ」）。
縱橫碼以0至9代表十類筆形，為方便記憶，有「筆形編碼口訣」：
１橫２豎３點捺，
叉４插５方塊６，
７角８八９是小，
撇與左鈎都是０。
