Disappointing co-op *edit* *edit* 5/4/2023
*edit* 5/4/2023 I still want to love this game. For years I couldn't play because of a reoccurring crash at the beginning of certain levels, which seems to have been fix with latest updates, but now there's a similar bug at the start of certain levels where the character doesn't show up and you have to restart the game several times before the character appears again. My one major criticism, which is still the same criticism after years: when you die, there's still no try again! So much time is wasted having to navigate menu options to begin a new game. That destroys the flow for me. Makes me not want to continue playing after dying multiple times. *edit* I want to love this game. This is my third review. I was so delighted, after I criticized the annoying player-death-record-scratch ad prompt for people who paid to remove ads. You guys responded to my review, and then got rid of it on the next update! Yay! But then I was two minutes into playing local co-op with my son and his player died. I was shocked to discover that revives are based on watching an ad too! Come on guys! ..or they's! I'm not watching ads on a paid game. Seeing that you were monetizing a revive mechanism, reduced my goodwill towards this game, as I already criticized this same mechanism with player solo deaths. I play a lot of co-op games with my son, and he has no interest in continuing with Clan N. Sad. Maybe if the revive ad prompt is changed we'll give co-op another try. In my last review I also asked if fixing the audio was possible, so apps like Twitch, and Spotify can play their audio while Clan N is also running. Didn't get a response about that. Right now it cuts off one of the audio sources, while other games, some of them years old, can run both audio sources fine. Overall, still like the game, but issue keep getting in the way of fully enjoying it. *edit* response to developers: Thanks for replying. But it seems there's a misunderstanding, I don't have a problem with the UI revive prompt being distracting, I have a problem with only being able to revive your teammate by watching an ad. Seems clear from my last message so I'm confused by your response focusing on UI design. I play a lot of local co-op games with my son. Almost all of them have a creative in-game function for the surviving player to be able to revive a dead teammate. It could cost health or whatever, but to make the cost an ad watch destroys the fun, at least for me and my son.
