Since spending time in California KUSC is our default music streaming service. Wonderful music selection and great presentation. Thank you Jennifer for our afternoons…. The problem? Apparently it’s impossible to contribute from the UK! We have tried without success….
Like other reviewers from this side of the Atlantic this station is preferable to BBC Radio 3 or Classic Fm.I’m amazed though that the website does not have a worldwide subscription facility as the internet radio is definitely listened to outside the USA !

KUSC is a global model for focussed, quality streaming. It’s not automatic- the station depends on listener contributions. After 20 good years in the UK my husband and I are moving home. If all goes well we will move to Los Angeles, not far from the FM broadcasting antenna for this station. It is, in a sense, a homing beacon. Wherever you are please consider contributing to this unique human effort that has no boundaries!
I live in London, England. I stream KUSC regularly. It is perfect to work by. Their choices of music are excellent. My only critique is a technical one. Too often the stream stops. A cyberspace expert can perhaps correct this.

I’m American, based long-term in the UK. I started listening to KUSC, terrestrial, while visiting my CA-based son a couple of years ago. Since then, KUSC remains a ‘go to’ station for fine programming of classical music, thanks to internet radio & KUSC excellent app.
The selection offered by KUSC is exceptionally well judged, and the presenters are very professional. I like the fact that they mostly play complete works - unlike Classic FM in the UK - and also that it is ad-free - unlike Classic FM in the UK!

No matter if you are a fluent classical music fan or the novice admirer like myself, this music is honestly good for you. Great programming and informative too. Great classical music with no adverts unlike Classic FM which I also enjoy, but after an hour of (the same adverts) begins to drive me crazy! KUSC also play the whole piece rather than just one (same every time) movement which Classic FM mainly does and they have a much wider repertoire without becoming too highbrow or obscure for my tastes (which Radio 3 is).
