Lots of annoyances, but perhaps the biggest one is that when you click on a another story below the one you just read, the link takes you out of the app to a browser and wants you to sign in there. Utterly ridiculous.

All these years and this app still locks up my iPad. This seems to happen as it loads advertising while scrolling thru the articles. I understand ads are needed to keep costs down for subscribers (like me) But you think they would fix this so I use the app more. Frustrating…

I’ve emailed three times my Content will not download. I’ve done everything to try to fix it. Though I will say they are very good at charging you every month even though this is the worst app ever. I live out of town. It’s the only reason I’ve put up with it so that I can read about the city I love but it’s time to cancel the subscription.

I downloaded this app because I recently moved to Cleveland and wanted to get more familiar with local news and events and integrate as a clevelander… but was disappointed to see shallow and whining articles such as this one published by cleveland.com (in its entirety posted below), which clearly is so enriching for newcomers to Cleveland and Clevelanders everywhere: “Who is left to vote for Trump? He has insulted and angered women, teachers, firefighters, police, veterans and those presently in the military -- and now he’s going after federal government workers, calling them “crooked,” and vowing to hold them accountable. “Even many of his fans must be losing their respect for him. I subscribed through the app and tried for over a month to get this subscription synced with my login to the website to no avail. Cleveland.com claims to have no record of my subscription even though I provided proof of purchase more than once. Not syncing with the website denies my ability to sign up for newsletters and to read subscriber stories on the website.

The content is great but the screen often freezes so you can’t scroll and have to close and re-open it. If that was fixed I would rate it 5 stars.

This could be the worst app I’ve ever downloaded. Now when I click on a specific category of sports (Browns, Guardians, Cavs) it leaves the app completely. This on top of the fact that when I click on a Cleveland.com exclusive story it continuously asks me to log in, which I do but just keeps repeating the same request. You would think for the amount of money a subscription costs they could deliver a product that actually works.

This app is putting every story behind a pay wall, even things it simply copied from the AP. Ludicrous and no longer worth looking at.

For about 3 months after I became a PAID subscriber I could read those articles. Now I keep getting messages that I need to subscribe. What a rip off!

The app will be working fine then in the middle of an article it will lock up not allowing any navigation. This happens repeatedly and requires you to close and reopen the application. This is terrible for a subscription service.
