“Run of the mill”

A fair amount of climate “related” news, but nothing really hard-hitting and profound. It’s a “G-rated” version of what REALLY HORRIBLE TROUBLE the whole world is facing. I thought this app would be a forceful call to action to rally against the fossil fuel industries and promote immediate social and economic change, but no. This app too, like most media, has ties to, gets money from, was funded by, or supported by the fossil fuel industry in the first place. Do you think they want us all to know how bad things really are when that might mean their profits would be negatively affected!!!?? I know, what kind of f@$*ed up logic is that?! Pretty sick, but that’s the kind of news I thought this would be, but it’s just more kittens in trees stuff. You go mighty firemen!, you rescue those kittens in trees. Because someday soon you’ll be out of a job too; either all the trees will burn down, or we’ll have eaten the last kitten because there’ll be no food that can be grown because our soils are dead, our fresh water is either too poisoned or too rare, and society has collapsed completely and won’t care who you are or what you do. So we can all forget about THAT reality, and go back to doing whatever useless thing we were doing before we even heard of a thing called “climate change”. 😊 Despite the lack of society-changing and crowd-rallying news, it’s entertaining at least.

While major news outlets weigh profitability and attention deficits on what to surface, here’s a news source with a long term vision. I’d love to be able to pay, say $0.25 cents per story read across a paywall. That would provide monetization to this app and a revenue source to news publishers who wouldn’t otherwise reach readers who stick with one news subscription, which I do. It could also incentivize them to cover more climate stories

Imagine a discovery that would reduce your car’s carbon footprint…10%. It exists. What if the discovery saved more $ than it costs? It does. Please be curious. What if it also passed all EPA testing? It has. Can we chat? Remember we have over 1,000,000,000 plus cars in this World. They could be running much cleaner. Thank you.
