Description

This is a teaching app which explains the principles of how to conserve species best with a limited budget (“cost-effectively”). We show that to achieve cost-effectiveness, the selection of conservation sites and conservation measures has to take into count both their costs and their impact on the species.
Finally, we consider what needs to be changed for cost-effective conservation under climate change. We explain everything using the example of the conservation of the large marsh grasshopper.
This app was developed as part of the Ecoclimb project (link), sponsored by the BMBF.
